Farmerville Jaycees 63rd Annual Louisiana Watermelon Festival July 24-25, 2026. www.louisianawatermelonfestival.org The Jaycees host the Christmas Parade in December.

The festival is a 3 day event, beginning with the Little Miss Watermelon Pageant the night of the last Thursday in July and ending that Saturday night with the Miss Watermelon Pageant. Events include: parade, street dance, bicycle and tricycle races, arm wrestling, eating and seed spitting contest, best dressed watermelon, 5K run, watermelon quality contest, largest watermelon contest, and auction. The Krewe of D'arbonne, which consist of the Farmerville Jaycees, organizes the Mardi Gras Parade.

🚨 Parade Time Update 🚨
The Krewe of D’Arbonne Mardi Gras Parade will now roll at 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Line up will begin at 4:00 PM at the Old Farmerville High School.
This decision was made with the safety of our community as the top priority. We extend our sincere appreciation to the National Weather Service, Union Parish Director of Homeland Security Matt Ford, and Burt Green for their guidance and assistance in helping us make the most informed decision possible.
Join us for a festive evening filled with community spirit and Mardi Gras fun. There is no registration fee and no bead minimum. Grab your sweetie and come enjoy the parade before heading to dinner for Valentine’s Day.
We cannot wait to see everyone on the route. 💜💛💚
