🚨 A Reminder to All Motorists 🚨

If you see flashing emergency lights like this in your rearview mirror, know that someone needs help and seconds matter. One of our deputies was recently involved in a crash caused by a driver failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Thankfully, they are okay—but this could have been avoided.

Louisiana law requires drivers to pull to the right and stop when emergency vehicles approach with lights and sirens activated. Failing to do so puts lives at risk—yours, ours, and those in need of help.

See the light? Pull to the right! Its that simple. Let’s work together to keep our roads safe.
