Lake D’Arbonne CleanUP Classic — A “Trash Tournament” on the Water!

The Lake D’Arbonne CleanUP Classic is the brainchild of Brice Knight of A Knight On The Lake—turning a cleanup into a fishing-tournament-style competition!

📅 September 26, 2026 | 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.| Ramp Road HWY 33

🗑️ Pick up trash along Lake D’Arbonne, area lakes, rivers and streams throughout Union Parish.
🎣 Want to compete? Register in advance through the QR code on the flyer to be eligible for prize money for the most trash collected and possible door prizes.
🏆 Want to win the “Trash Tournament”? You MUST register!
🛥️Register for either: Waterway Division- picking up trash by Boat/Kayak or Land Division - picking up launches or shorelines while on foot/ATV.
📝 Unable to register online? Registration will also be available at Ramp Road HWY 33 Weigh In Site September 26th from 8:00–11:30 a.m.
📸 Be sure to take pictures of the area before and after clean up.
🗑️Pick up Trash on September 26th at the designated area you registered for and return with trash collected to Ramp Road Weigh In site before the deadline. ONLY event trash bags will be accepted to weigh in.
🚮 Not interested in competing? You can still help! Join Keep Louisiana Beautiful’s Love Our Waterways Cleanup anytime during September.💙 Stop by Union Parish Library for trash bags and to borrow grabbers and safety vests while supplies last. Help clean up boat launches, riverbanks, beaches and other waterways throughout Union Parish.

Keep Louisiana Beautiful needs your help to clean up our state’s rivers, lakes, bayous, and shorelines. Our 14,400-mile waterway system is Louisiana’s lifeblood, essential to the vitality of our environment, economy, health, recreation, and culture. We all need to pitch in to clean up marine litter and Love Our Waterways.

Did you know Union Parish has 5 Scenic Waterways!! Yes, that is correct! Union Parish is often celebrated as the "Top of the Boot" and is home to five spectacular rivers, bayous, and creeks that are a paradise for outdoor and paddling enthusiasts.The five scenic waterways in Union Parish include:

Lake D'Arbonne: The 15,000-acre "crown jewel" of the parish, renowned for its coves, cypress trees, and national championship crappie fishing.

D'Arbonne Bayou: A winding waterway known for diverse wildlife and peaceful, lush surroundings.

Bayou DeLoutre: A tranquil and rustic stream meandering through natural landscapes.

Corney Creek: A country favorite known for its rustic shores and excellent paddling conditions.

Ouachita River: The eastern border of the parish offering broader, historic currents and boating.
