It's a wrap! The First Annual Stars and Stripes Scramble is in the books. A great day filled with fun and good times. So many people and organizations to thank. Here is a small first batch of pictures to get started!

For over 45 years, Old Time Saturday has been a Farmersville tradition, a legacy event that brings our entire community together.

But legacies don’t continue on their own and events of this magnitude don’t happen without people behind them. And right now, we just don’t have enough.

Without increased support and volunteers, we are facing the very real possibility of cancelling Old Time Saturday permanently. Not someday, right now.

We are not ready to see this legacy end. If you care about this tradition, this is the moment to show up. We encourage you to attend our Old Time Saturday Community Workshop.

Today is Medal of Honor Day - Honoring and Remembering the first Medal of Honor recipients, all the way back on March 25, 1863. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration of the United States Armed Forces. The Medal of Honor is awarded to Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen, who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor.

The Medal of Honor has been awarded 3552 times in America's history, making it a rare top honor. In fact, only nineteen (19) men have received the award twice!

I ask that we take a moment today, and reflect, while considering all of our soldiers, sailors and airmen. Reflect on their sacrifice, revel in the freedom, and remember those who gave so much, so that we can live in the greatest country on earth.

🇺🇸 Community Help Needed for a Veteran 🇺🇸

At the Undaunted Warhorse Initiative, we work hard to help veterans rebuild stability, independence, and dignity. One of the veterans we are currently housing has the skills, the tools, and the drive to do handyman work and earn his own income — but he’s missing one critical piece: reliable transportation.

Right now, we are trying to help him find a small or medium work truck for under $3,000 so he can get to jobs, carry his tools, and continue building his path forward.

This is exactly the kind of small step that can make a huge difference in a veteran’s life. A dependable truck means the ability to work, earn, and regain independence.

If you or someone you know has a reliable work truck they are willing to sell for around $3,000, please reach out. Donations, leads, or connections are greatly appreciated.
