🚨 NOSE BAD BREATH🚨
What could be causing a bad breath from the nose?
Here’s is a list.
1. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses, which are hollow spaces in the bones around your nose and eyes.
Sinusitis can cause a thick, sticky mucus to build up in the sinuses, which can trap bacteria and other germs. This can lead to a bad smell.
2. Mouth infections, such as tooth decay or gum disease, can also cause a bad smell from the nose.
This is because the bacteria from these infections can travel up the back of the throat and into the sinuses.
3. Nasal polyps (a lump tissue): Nasal polyps are small, non-cancerous growths that can form in the lining of the nose. Or sometimes a Turbinate.
Nasal polyps can block the sinuses and cause a bad smell.
This is the main one, that really makes the nose to smell bad.
4. ***Tonsil stones***
Tonsil stones are hard deposits that can form in the crevices of the tonsils. Tonsil stones can have a bad odor, which can be smelled from the nose.
5. A medical condition like: A Chronic kidney disease.
Chronic kidney disease can cause a buildup of toxins in the body, which can lead to a bad smell from the nose.
Okay, people..this one might look like nothing but it’s the one most people suffer the most. DRY MOUTH.
6. Dry mouth can also cause a bad smell from the nose. This is because dry mouth can make it difficult to clear bacteria and food particles from the mouth, which can lead to a buildup of odor-causing substances.
Go see your Doctor..if you are very concerned.
However, the treatment for a bad smell from the nose will depend on the underlying cause.
For example, if the smell is caused by sinusitis, the doctor may prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection. If the smell is caused by a mouth infection, the doctor may prescribe antibiotics or recommend that you see a dentist for treatment.
Temporary Solution that can be super helpful, depending on your situation to help reduce the small or remove the smell.
RINSE your sinuses with SALINE solution (aka Warm Salt Water). I have been saying this from day zero.
Saline solution can help to flush out bacteria and mucus from the sinuses, which can help to reduce the smell.
Use a humidifier. A humidifier can help to add moisture to the air, which can help to prevent dry mouth.
BRUSH your teeth and FLOSS regularly.
Brushing your teeth and flossing regularly can help to remove bacteria from the mouth, which can help to reduce the smell.
GO See a dentist for regular checkups.
Regular checkups with your dentist can help to identify and treat any mouth problems, such as tooth decay or gum disease, that may be causing a bad smell from the nose.
DRINK WATER.
