And that’s a wrap on the 2025 River Watch Fall Kickoffs! In partnership with and their amazing boat captains, we were able to get over 720 people on our local rivers in just one week. AND River Watch teams learned about their Forum Assignment for the year! Thank you to everyone who attended and made this possible, we couldn’t have done it without you! 😁🛶

More than 720 students and teachers from schools across the Red River Basin had the opportunity to paddle the Red River, Red Lake River and a handful of other waters in the basin.

It's always tough to say goodbye to a teammate but today we're wishing LaRyssa Nelson all the best as she moves on to new opportunities beyond IWI!

LaRyssa's creativity and positive outlook has been inspiring since day one, and we're so grateful for everything she's contributed to our education team over the past 5 years.

She will be greatly missed here at IWI, but we're excited to know that a portion of her new role will stay in the Red River Basin!
