NDSU SAE Clean Snowmobile Team

NDSU SAE Clean Snowmobile Team The clean snowmobile challenge is an event hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Students are challenged to re-engineer a snowmobile for better efficiency, while maintaining performance. Our team will be putting a diesel engine in our snowmobile. Categories include an endurance race, draw bar pull, acceleration with a load. What a way to cap off the year! The team took 2nd place overall again and had the fastest time in the handling event. We've put in a lot of effort into getting this sled where it's at and the results show. By far one of the best trips to the event we've had. Best of luck to the graduating seniors. Can't wait to see where the underclassman will take this team.

Just when we thought Christmas was over, our friends over at came through with this amazing gift! Can't wait to get all this bling on the catalyst. The team is currently working through some issues with our Dyno, but soon enough we'll be able to get data on the improvements we make with these goodies.

Huge day of testing with the Cat today, and even had a little fun too. Thanks again for the Cobra. Shaved over half a second off the acceleration time! Plus lots of sound data to analyze now to see if our work has paid off.
