The GFMEDC convened its third Business Development Working Group, with this gathering focusing on the Entrepreneurship pillar of our business development strategies.
The meeting kicked off with some historical references and current descriptions of our intentional work in our regional entrepreneurial development and ecosystem building. It was then followed up by a lot of discussion among our attending investors, stakeholders and ecosystem partners.
Through collaboration, trust and dedication, our region has fostered a well-connected and responsiveness ecosystem, especially over these past 10+ years. As referenced by the Kauffman Foundation in their research into thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems, “An ecosystem that allows for the fast flow of talent, information, and resources helps entrepreneurs quickly find what they need at each stage of growth. As a result, the whole is greater than the sum of its separate parts.” We at GFMEDC understand this work is a team sport, and we need to continue to keep our foot on the gas pedal to keep momentum and progress for regional innovation.
