The Fanwood Museum

The Fanwood Museum The Fanwood Museum is located in the historic Fanwood Train Station and serves as the the Borough's official museum.

Subject to change, the museum is typically open the first Sunday of the month from 2 pm to 4 pm, except for December, July, and August.

The Fanwood Museum, located in the Historic Fanwood Train Station on North Avenue, will be open this Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, for Union County’s “Four Centuries in a Weekend.”

All are welcome to stop by to learn about Fanwood’s history and view the museum’s collection of Fanwood-related maps, artwork, artifacts, and more!

Opening hours will be 12 noon to 4 pm both days. We hope to see you there!

The Museum will be open this weekend, October 21st and 22nd, for Union County’s Four Centuries in a Weekend!

Stop by noon-4 pm either day to see the museum’s collection in Fanwood’s historic train station.

On Sunday at 2 pm, the Rahway Valley Jerseyaires will perform a barbershop ensemble. Not to be missed!

Due to the recent increase in Covid cases associated with the Omicron variant, the museum will not be open today.

After seeing the community’s excitement at being able to visit the museum once again during Four Centuries weekend, we’re going to be open once more, as we traditionally were pre-pandemic, this Sunday, November 7, from 2 pm until a little before 4 pm. We hope to see you there!

We kindly ask those entering the museum to wear a mask.
