This weekend one of our membership teams hosted an Introduction to Mantracking seminar with instructor John Norris. 6 teams from various SAR disciplines across New Jersey represented the Council and filled the student roster; Search Management, K9 Handlers from 3 different disciplines, Ground Searchers, Flankers, and Divers. Many thanks to New Jersey Rescue and Recovery K9 Unit for being the hosting team and giving our members the opportunity for continuing their education and advancing their skills. We’re extremely grateful for John sharing his knowledge and expertise with us over the course of two days.

Press Release (6/21/24): Missing Person

The Hackettstown Police Department seeks the public's help in locating a missing person:

Maddox Demetri Talmadge, 15, W, M, 5'04, 115lbs, brown eyes, brown hair, and has a mole above his lips. Last seen, on June 21, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., leaving Marley's Gotham Grill, 169 Main Street, in Hackettstown, NJ.

He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with Hollister written on the shirt, grey jean pants, white sneakers and a red arm cast on his right arm. He was also carrying a black draw string backpack.

Anyone with information that can assist in helping safely locate Maddox Demetri Talmadge, please call the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3300.

The Ringwood Police Department is currently assisting the New Jersey State Park Police with locating the 60 year old woman pictured below. It is believed that she went out on a hike in Ringwood State Park near Skylands Manor in the early afternoon of March 3, 2024. If anyone saw her or crossed paths with her while hiking on March 3rd please contact Ringwood P.D. at 973-962-7017.

Please note the park will be closed in this area while we continue this search. Thank you.
