Next Thursday May 21 VFW Post 12197 and Auxiliary will be meeting at our new location 1374 West Broadway, Mayfield, KY. Meeting will start at 6:30. There will be NO MEAL this month due to several factors. If you exit off of the interstate onto Hwy 80 it is the first building on the right toward Mayfield.

In the past I have made posts that said something great was going to be happening for VFW Post 12197, District 1. WELL IT HAS HAPPENED. By the shake of a hand Chris Petty, owner, has leased the building at 1374 W Broadway Mayfield Ky to District 1, Commander David Penney. So now Post 12197 and District 1 have a NEW HOME. We look forward to and are excited to be moving in the coming weeks. Other exciting things are going to be coming as well. By having this building we look forward to being able to offer more experiences for our community and assistance to veterans. Stay tuned for more exciting news.

These amazing veterans were installed as officers to VFW Post 12197 by past president David Penney at their last meeting. Join us May 21 at Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall in Fancy Farm Ky at 6:30 pm for our meeting. Arrive at 6:00 pm with a healthy appetite for our meal. Invite and bring a fellow veteran. No one does more for Veterans than the VFW.

Come and join us this Thursday April 16 at 6:30 for our VFW meeting at Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall in Fancy Farm Ky. Rumor has it that a "gourmet" meal will be served at 6:00 so no worries about what to have for supper. Just relax and enjoy a meal and the meeting afterwards. See you there.

On March 15 the Graves County VFW Post 12197 Auxiliary hosted their spring BUNCO Bash. Everyone there had a blast. We had a raffle drawing for an 8 function Victrola looking audio system. There were too many door prizes, silent auction items as well as sales table. I can't stop without mentioning the food. It was awesome. Come and join us if youre looking for a great organization to be involved in. We meet at 6:30 at Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall in Fancy Farm Ky on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Nobody does more for Veterans than the VFW.
