Had to take Sweetie one of our barn cats to the vet. She wasn't acting right. She had a big bladder stone. So she had surgery and they removed it. She is confined to a large dog cage for recovery. She's doing ok, sleeping a lot. Poor girl

The heart break of rescue. We lost Unique today. She was a big beautiful thoroughbred mare born into racing. She raced and made babies. Unique came to us at 16 with ulcers and became a sanctuary horse. She was 24. We were honored to give her 8 years of peace. Run with the wind sweet girl. You will be missed.

When our weather forecast is wintry mix and ice is mentioned any horses in the field are brought in. We have had bad ice storms here that were not predicted. When we called them to come in a few came and we had to go after the rest. Hopefully there won't be ice. Better safe than sorry!
