You are invited to attend the July 2 ceremony dedicating new national colors for the 20th Maine Infantry Regiment. Exactly replicating the flag that Color Sergeant Andrew J. Tozier carried on Little Round Top on July 2, 1863, the colors will be permanently displayed at the Maine Armed Forces Museum at 194 Winthrop Street in Augusta, near the Augusta State Airport.
This event is free and is open to the public. The ceremony will start at 2 p.m. at the Civil War memorial in Mount Hope Cemetery, which is across Winthrop Street from the museum. The schedule is published below.
