500 beds!

What a milestone almost to the day we officially became a Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter two years ago.

So many people to thank. If you volunteered, donated, cheered us on, or helped spread the word, thank you.

And, well, still some more work to do starting with a build tomorrow. We will see a few dozen of you tomorrow as we work toward 500 more.

No kid should sleep on the floor!

Phew!

Busy week for our crew.

After meeting so many people in Aberdeen during community day last Saturday, we joined the county sheriff’s office at National Night Out in Bel Air. Thank you for helping to spread the word.

This weekend we had two delivery crews out that bought our total beds to …. (drumroll sound)… 499.

The gratitude and the generosity we have witnessed continue to inspire us.

500 coming soon. Build day this Saturday.

Let’s keep rolling.

Community Day at Festival Park in Aberdeen. Spreading the word about Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

One of the consistent discussions we have starts with “I had no idea so many kids didn’t have beds.”

Keep spreading the word.

Free bubbles too here with us at the park!

Over the past 20 months, 485 new beds with new mattresses and bedding have been delivered to kids 3-17.

But the need in Harford County remains. Many thanks for sharing the post, asking friends and co-workers, and helping us spread the word as we seek new storage space.
