Cooking together is about more than just making dinner. From measuring ingredients to choosing recipes, kids build confidence, independence, and life skills while families create space for conversation and connection. Even small moments in the kitchen can turn into meaningful memories.

Conversation starter: “What’s one meal or recipe you hope you always remember from childhood?”

Chilly temps didn’t stop us this past Saturday at the annual Sharon 5 Mile Road Race! ❄️🏃‍♀️ We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones in the community.
A big thank you to the Sharon Day Care for putting on such a great event, we’re so grateful to be part of it this year!
As the weather warms up and more events start popping up, keep an eye out for the NCPN table! Come say hi, grab some goodies, and learn more about what we’re doing, we’d love to connect. 💙

From what’s in medicine cabinets to what shows up in social media feeds, kids are picking up messages and making decisions earlier than most of us realize. Our upcoming sessions dig into va**ng, medications, social influence, and self-image, and what all of this means for the kids we’re trying to support every day.

We’ll be joined by experts from places like the Partnership to End Addiction, Boston Children’s Hospital, Stanford REACH Lab, Truth Initiative, and pediatric medicine who are right in the middle of this work. They’ll break things down in a way that feels real and practical, not overwhelming. Register now: https://loom.ly/lvBuVdM

Support your family. Dispose of unused medications properly 💊

Unused or expired medications in the home can increase the risk of misuse and accidental harm. Safe disposal is a simple, effective way to protect your loved ones and reduce the risk of opioid misuse in our community.

According to our local Youth Voices Count survey, 87.7% of high schoolers in Region 1 report that prescription medications are hard to access-showing that prevention efforts like safe storage and disposal are making a real impact and moving us in the right direction.

The Northwest Corner Prevention Network will be at Troop B this Saturday from 10-2 to collect unwanted medications. We’ll also have Narcan and free lock bags available-stop by, ask questions, and take a step toward a safer community.

Safe homes start with small actions 💙

Join us this Thursday from 12–1 PM for an important community conversation!

At our monthly coalition meeting, we’ll be joined by Trooper Bronson from Troop B and an agent from the Department of Consumer Protection, who will share updates on recent compliance checks in our region and what they’re seeing locally.

We’ll also have time for a Q&A so bring your questions and be part of the discussion!

💻 This meeting is virtual and open to all! Feel free to join and share with others.
