Fun photos of Watch Night, free family fun and lots of venues to enjoy inside or outside...warming stations, free popcorn, soup, and hot chocolate, and come as you are and enjoy the evening, with free shuttle bus between venues every 20-25 minutes. Put on by the folks of Falls Church who volunteer time, talents and $ to make this all happen. Bring our friends and families! Enjoy a great evening. Wonderful live bands, entertainment for all ages, and all free family fun, including free popcorn and fun, active amusements for all ages as well. More will be announced next week after Thanksgiving. WATCH NIGHT 2019 IS COMING TOGETHER! AND we have a new downtown park, Mr. Brown's Park - in memory of Mr. Hugh Brown of the famous Falls Church family Brown's Hardware started by his Mr. Brown's grandfather! If you have not been it is a wonderful place to get help and buy one screw or nut and get help on what you need to finish the job. An exceptionally smart staff and a wonderful atmosphere of the old country store! This location is where Watch Night starts at the 100 block of West Broad right in front of Brown's Hardware and George Mason Square where Atlantic Realty helps out by having the LOVE letters in front of the arches and they sponsor the crane that lowers the City's famous 12' star that was the City's first holiday decoration that sat atop the Water Tower that used to be behind the State Theater! Here the City's first holiday decoration gets a makeover, cleaned, sanded and painted, then lighted with two varieties of lights. The 12' diameter star is being prepared to take center stage again for the holidays. At the City's annual Watch Night celebration in the center of the City, it will be lowered as part of the Countdown Celebration at the Main Stage area.
