Palestine Convention The largest gathering for Palestine in the US! Each year, thousands convene in Chicago for an event planned for the entire family.

The American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) is a national grassroots, nonprofit organization, whose mission is to educate the American public and media about issues related to Palestine. AMP is building a grassroots movement that is pressuring Congress to create a more fair and balanced foreign policy in the Middle East. Each year during Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago, AMP holds its annual conventio

n for Palestine in the US, the largest gathering of Palestine solidarity activists in the country. The educational conference hosts national and internationally renowned speakers. The weekend event also hosts film screenings, book signings, a Campus Activism track; youth and young adult programs, and a children’s school as well as a vibrant bazaar, full of Palestinian and Islamic treasures. The AMP's Annual Convention for Palestine in the US is the most important gathering in the Palestine solidarity movement, not only because it helps keep Palestine alive in the hearts of youth but too because it educates and disseminates practical knowledge for those working for justice in Palestine.

🍉 You’re invited to a “Night of Sumud,” our special event at Palestine Convention 2024. This evening, we will have Palestinian talents offer special performances of art from Gaza and the rest of Palestine that exemplify the resilience of the Palestinian people.

❤️ This program has been carefully designed with respect to the sensitivity of the situation on the ground.

🎤 Featuring:
- Palestinian artist Ahmad Abu Hatab will take us on a journey with traditional folklore.
- Young Palestinian rapper from Gaza, MC Abdul, will share his story through his art.
- Chicago’s Noor Shadid will touch our hearts and minds with her spoken word poetry.
- and so much more...

💞 We hope the “Night of Sumud” will help us collectively grieve and bring healing to our hearts after more than a year of genocide.

AMP invites our youth to take part in this year's Youth Competition "Gaza Taught Me" as part of our Palestine Convention 2024.

🗣 This competition encourages youth to reflect on the resilience, strength, and lessons learned from the people of Gaza over the past year. Participants will express their reflections and learnings creatively, paying tribute to the unwavering spirit of Gaza's people.

The competition has 3 categories:
🎙 Spoken Word & Poetry
🎨 Art, Painting & Picture
📽 Short Film & Video

Winners will receive a variation of prizes:
💰 1st: $600
💰 2nd: $300
