The Falls Church Anglican SERVICES
Visit www.tfcanglican.org to view our livestream service. Our 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday services are held in the sanctuary, and our 8 a.m.

Sunday service takes place in Cranmer Chapel. We are a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, in the evangelical tradition, and located in the National Capital region, in Falls Church, Virginia. Our services feature heartfelt worship of several styles, and thoughtful, biblical preaching. We have ministries for children, youth and adults. Come and believe, belong, worship, grow and serve.

Our TFCA staff joined up with for our service project, hosting a picnic for their guests! Whether it was flipping burgers, playing live music, or simply being present with a warm smile, every team member brought their God-given gifts to the table (literally!).

The Lamb Center's mission says it best: "To live out the compassionate heart of Christ by serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness." We are so grateful to partner with an organization that has the Gospel at the very heart of everything they do. πŸ™

Last Saturday, we celebrated a special milestone in the faith journeys of these members of our church family through Confirmation.

Join us in thanking God for these Confirmations and as we pray over them when they are first baptized that they would indeed be "strengthened by the Holy Spirit to confess the faith of Christ crucified, to fight bravely under his banner, and to faithfully serve him before all others, all the days of their lives."

Confirmation is the moment when a person publicly confirms or reaffirms their commitment to Jesus Christ and the promises made in Baptism, becoming a full member of both The Falls Church Anglican and the worldwide Anglican Church. During the service, our bishop laid hands on each candidate and prayed for God's strength and grace in their Christian life, while the congregation joined in prayer and support.

"Evangelism is just gratitude."

This past Sunday, Brian Gurney shared how we are empowered to share Christ's transormational power in our lives through the Holy Spirit. It’s telling the story of what Jesus has done in your life and inviting others to experience that same grace too.

You can listen to the whole encouraging sermon here: https://tfcanglican.org/sermons/

We had the joy of being part of the Baptisms of three siblings last Sunday: Hamilton, Estella, and Addison. We shared in their joy, as Estella said, "I'm so excited and honored that I can do this alongside my brother and sister." ➑ You can see in their own words why they desired to be baptized in the next photos.

Collect for Baptism: Grant, Lord, that we who are baptized into the death of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ may continually put to death our evil desires and be buried with him; and that through the grave and gate of death we may pass to our joyful resurrection; through the merits of him who died and was buried and rose again for us, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

One of our traditions when we perform baptisms is to invite the children forward to learn more about this sacrament and to be part of the body of Christ. This past Sunday, Pastor John Frederick shared with them how we can put our trust in God.

At each baptism, the pastor makes the sign of the cross on their forehead and says these powerful words over them:

"Receive the sign of the Cross as a token of your new life in Christ, in which you shall not be ashamed to confess the faith of Christ crucified, to fight bravely under his banner against the world, the flesh, and the devil, and to continue as his faithful soldier and servant to the end of your days."

Standing on a beach in Turkey, Lulu asked God a question that changed everything: "Where are these people going when they die?"

Hear how the Lord called her to serve overseas β€” and what she learned about His heart for the lost. πŸŽ™οΈ

"His heartbeat is for the lost. Experiencing the heart of God is experiencing a passion for the lost."

We thank God for Lulu's ministry in Turkey and the many ways God used her to share his love with the lost.
