What a weekend in Vermont at the M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, the RRCA 2026 Eastern Region Marathon Championship 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🔥

With course records, Olympic Trials Qualifiers and PRs, the race delivered a number of standout performances. Some highlights included:

• Ryan Smith shattered the men’s course record by more than a minute, running an incredible 2:15:52 — under the Olympic Qualifying standard — in his marathon debut!

• Kellyn Taylor, pro runner, firefighter, and mom of four, captured the women’s title in 2:35:15 while second-place finisher Rachel Schilkowsky secured an Olympic Trials qualifying time of 2:35:51.

• Paula Pridgen set a new women’s masters course record, clocking a remarkable 2:41:31 performance.

One of the things that makes this event so special is that the marathon and marathon relay happen together on the same course. As a result, runners of all levels the chance to be part of the experience, whether tackling all 26.2 miles or sharing the journey with friends.

Huge thanks to the whole Run Vermont team for putting on such a wonderful event, and shout out to RRCA Rep Aileen Elizabeth for representing RRCA and cheering on runners throughout an exciting championship weekend.
