Wind & Willows Ferret Rescue -closed rescue is closed but we will continue education and advice Why are ferret shelters needed? Each year many ferrets are purchased as impulse pets.

Rarely are pet shops willing or able to explain to a perspective buyer how much work is truly involved, how much money these critters can cost for the proper food, housing & medical care, and how much attention they need.-- A Sale is a Sale …$$ -- These ferrets are surrendered to shelters( if lucky) or ignored, neglected or otherwise disposed of (sadly). Ferret shelters around the country are overcrowded and straining at the seams ALL of them can use any help you can give !!
