Did you know there’s a Hawaiian language version of Winnie-the-Pooh? Or a Hawai’i Pidgin version of The Little Prince? We’re celebrating adaptations like these and others translated by Hawaiian linguist Dr. Keao NeSmith this Saturday at our Page Turn Pā’ina (party) at West Kauai Sun May 16 from 5-8 p.m.
Hawaiian Diaspora's first event in California, we’ll hear a few readings by Dr. NeSmith, enjoy live music, hula, and each other as we gather to celebrate the vibrancy of Hawaiian culture that still thrives thousands of miles away from Hawai’i.
Free to attend—RSVP preferred at bit.ly/pageturnpaina (link in bio.) We hope to see you there!
