Mobilizing churches to put their faith into action by providing opportunities to serve alongside missionaries reaching the physically and spiritual hungry throughout the world. How Serving in Word & Deed Works ~
We will work with your church to identify a people group to serve, or you may choose to serve one of your current missionaries. We encourage you to select a team to visit your missionary or people group on the front lines. The team will deliver Bibles and/or the serving option that your church has chosen. This breathes new life into the missionary's work as well as bringing global perspective and excitement into the life of your congregation. We will provide fresh opportunities to foster longterm relationships with those on the field.

Meet the Board Monday with Tamara!

Tamara has been married to Robert since 2014, and they have 5 children between them: 2 boys and 3 girls. She loved helping in her daughter's classes at church, and in 2004 her passion for the nations was ignited. Her heart was broken when a friend told her about the generation of orphaned children in Kenya due to the AIDS pandemic. Tamara and her friend created a non profit to support orphanages in Kenya, and Tamara served as Vice President for 5 years. Her first mission trip was to Kenya with her daughters, and their love for travel and missions was born!

Tamara has served on and helped lead many of Reaching the Hungry's international mission trips, including Mexico, Malawi, and Costa Rica.

In Malawi, we visited Nicole and the children she cares for. Pastor Joe was deeply moved by the love and dedication he witnessed as Nicole provides these children with the care they need.

There are many ways to come alongside this ministry. Your generosity can help provide essentials like food, milk, diapers, and other resources for these children.

Together, we can help Nicole continue caring for these little ones and give them a chance to thrive.

“Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations." That call has not changed for 2026.

Some ask, “Why go overseas when there is a need right here?” Well, going does not cancel out serving here, it is not one instead of the other. And whatever fear is holding you back, safety, money, not knowing the language, we handle it long before you land.
