Each November, we celebrate National Family Caregivers Month, a time to raise awareness of the vital role family caregivers play in our healthcare system, educate communities about the challenges caregivers face and the supports they need, connect caregivers with trusted resources that make their journey a little easier, and honor caregivers for their commitment, resilience, and love.
This year’s theme is Plug-in to Care, which focuses on connection—helping caregivers easily “plug in” to vital support tools, trusted networks, and educational resources that can make the caregiving journey less overwhelming and more supported.
There are over one million people in Massachusetts who serve as family caregivers, providing daily or frequent care to help loved ones maintain independence and well-being.
The Massachusetts Family Caregiver Support Program is free for non-paid caregivers or adult family members, age 18+ who care for individuals age 60+ or any individual living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. The program also supports Grandparents and other relatives age 55+ who care for children under the age of 18 or an adult with a disability ages 18-59.
If you are a caregiver seeking support or resources, please contact Bristol at 508-675-2101 for additional information and to be connected to a Caregiver Support Specialist.
