Duluth DEVO Mountain Bike Program

10/12/2026

With temps in the 80’s and a rugged and technical course, the WISCONSIN | NEWS | SPORTS | CULTURE North Conference Championship at Nordic Mountain was a weekend to remember!

The Festival Weekend environment that the league creates at these weekends is unparalleled in youth sports. With athletes and their families spending 2-3 days together the camaraderie that is built is incredible.

Congrats to Duluth East and Duluth Comp for their efforts and resiliency earning them 2nd and 3rd places in the Conference!

Next up: the Red Barn State Championship at Trek in two weeks! Let’s go!!!

Happy National Coaches Day!

Duluth Devo had 109 coaches this year! They are the backbone of our program-from teaching mtb skills and lead our Core Values discussions. They travel to races, ride in the cold and rain, and spend countless hours giving back to help create the next generation of cyclists and coaches.

In an age where so many kids quit sport by age 13, parents are stressed with the “pay to play”models, and the funnel continues to narrow earlier and earlier: Thank you for helping make Devo such a welcoming and supportive community. Thank you for helping us create a unique program that encompasses competitive and non-competitive pathways. Thank you for helping us create a program that is an example of all that youth sports can and should be!

The Hodag Hustle is one of our favorite Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League festivals of the year! The camping is amazing, the course is awesome, and the community is spectacular! We are proud of the efforts that all of our athletes gave! We focused on the things we can control and left it all on the course!

Way to go! Next up-Gnarly Nordic Mountain! We can’t wait!

Last night our NICA team (National Interscholastic Cycling Association - NICA Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League ) joined the crew in Lester Park to work on a few re-routes on Amity West. Trail work is something all of our HS programs do—Duluth has over 100 miles of singletrack that relies on volunteers for maintenance. We all must do our part if we want these awesome trails! Looking to help? Reach out to COGGS and learn where and when trail work is happening!

The weather is turning chilly and dark, but that doesn’t stop our spirit for riding and our love for ice cream! 🍦

Fall is here! That means we have the opportunity to catch some awesome sunsets at practice. With wet trails, our Adventure program took to 7 Bridges Rd in search of dry trails last night! There is always an opportunity for adventure!

Our second annual Qdoba fundraiser is Wednesday Sept 30th from 4-8pm at the Qdoba on Woodland ave. This is a great chance for you to enjoy some great food and raise money for Devo at no extra cost to you. You pay normal food prices and Qdoba donates 25% back to Devo!

Fundraising is crucial in allowing us to keep the quality of our programming high and our costs lower than most other sports while having almost all of our groups led by professionally certified mountain bike coaches!

The only thing you need to do is to scan the QR code in the attachment below at checkout. They recommend that you save the image to your phone to make it easier, but a print out also works.

Our Youth Board runs this fundraiser and will be there from 4-8pm on the 30th to thank your for your support!
