Annual Forget Me Not drive our only major fund raiser, this year we will be moving to a new Building as such our expenses will increase by at least $12,000.00 per year, we need your help Just in case anyone is wondering exactly what the money goes to hear is a list

1 Currently this chapter has 6 qualified SERVICE OFFICERS that put in more applications for benefits than any other office in the south east RI & MA.
2 As of last year we have averaged over 1100 new disability claims, we have also provided follow up to at least twice that amount.
3 We assist with widow's getting their benefits to include DIC, Burial expense, and tax benefits with local cities.
4 We provide Grants/ Vouchers for hotels to the homeless pending admission to the VTH (Veterans Transition House) for Veterans.
5 We provide Grants for Veterans and their families for Utilities when in need.
6 We assist Veteran's and their families in filling out any type of paperwork up to and including filling for plot in a National Cemetary

Most of all we provide ALL THESE SERVICE'S FREE with an all-Volunteer Staff

As everyone knows between the weather and cold we are asking for donations to help our Veterans and there Family's in need we assist with homeless veterans as well as Grant's with utility bills and this winter has been very difficult for so many, if you could please make a donation to DAV CHAPTER 9 Fall River, MA, 02722-1614 anything will help and all money goes to the cause, Thank you and God bless.
