The Disabled American Veterans is committed to advancing our mission without favoring or opposing any political party, candidate, or political ideology.
We recognize that our members, supporters, and the communities we serve may hold diverse political views. Accordingly, our programs, communications, educational activities, and public positions are guided by our stated organizational mission, objective criteria, and the interests of the communities we serve—not by partisan affiliation or political preference.
We welcome respectful participation from individuals across the political spectrum and strive to ensure that no person is excluded, favored, or disadvantaged because of their political beliefs.
When addressing public policy issues, the DAV will advocate for positions that further its mission. Such advocacy should not be interpreted as an endorsement of, or opposition to, any political party or candidate for public office. We will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure that organizational resources and activities remain consistent with applicable federal and state requirements governing 501(c)(4) organizations.
Our commitment is to mission-driven advocacy, intellectual fairness, and political nonpartisanship—not political neutrality on every issue.
