In preparation for the Fall City Days Parade, local Girl Scouts and some library patrons celebrated Dale Chihuly and the role that wind and water played in his art. We used this inspiration to talk about the role that wind and water play in the Snoqualmie Valley and its rural communities and to create our own “Fall City Glass” pieces.

Heating glass was a little dangerous in the library, so we settled for plastic. Everyone had such great creations as we colored and molded the plates, glasses, bottles, and condiment cups. Please share any pictures you took because I didn’t get many!

In March, we learned about the Pony Express and sent letters on the trail. Starting yesterday, we can watch the progress of our letters’ journeys online as they travel via horseback to us.

We partnered with a library in New York to send some letters and share our news from the West Coast!

If you want to track the movements of the 2026's Pony Express, please check out:

The black Pony Rider icons are positioned 5 minutes apart. Located in the lower right corner, click the (+) button to zoom IN to any location area. Click the (-) button to zoom OUT. Hello Snoqualmie Valley Artists,

For those of you who have art to submit to the Fall City portion of Art in Nature, thank you for your patience as we work through our technical issues. They are still unresolved and so we are going to have to pivot from here to figure things out and get the installation in on time.

The initial emails from me have my phone number in them, please reach out that way, or a FB Message here. I'll contact you with the submission form and meeting place for the round.

As a reminder Fall City Arts is a completely volunteer-run organization with limited resources and time. Thank you for your patience as we try to navigate this inconvenience. My apologies for falling short in this endeavor. I am trying.

Our apologies, our email and website are experiencing technical difficulties, if you need to contact us, feel free to me...

The last class for FC Arts before the Summer break is Friday! Come dance and play, draw and paint with Janeen Brian's "I'm a Dirty Dinosaur" book.

Learn why mud and dirt are valuable in Fall City's rural community and discuss whether we should celebrate MUD as part of the "Gone Country" celebration for Fall City Days this year!

**** New date**** March 27, 2:30p at the FC Library.

Learn the lost art of letter writing and have the opportunity to see your letter travel the pony express route!

In this class, we will:
-Design our own stationery
-Write a letter to a library patron in New York
- Learn to address an envelope and stamp a letter
- Track your letter on the commemorative Pony Express Ride Jun 15-25.

Class is geared for ages 5-12, but all ages are always welcome.

To learn more about the Pony Express and the re-ride, please visit the Pony Express Association Website: https://nationalponyexpress.org/re-ride/current-reride/

The annual commemorative ride uses 700 horses and riders to travel along the old Pony Express route. It's so fun to see history come alive with events like this!

Today’s Pony Express event is canceled. Fall City Library is closed today. We will reschedule 🙂.
