**** New date**** March 27, 2:30p at the FC Library.

Learn the lost art of letter writing and have the opportunity to see your letter travel the pony express route!

In this class, we will:
-Design our own stationery
-Write a letter to a library patron in New York
- Learn to address an envelope and stamp a letter
- Track your letter on the commemorative Pony Express Ride Jun 15-25.

Class is geared for ages 5-12, but all ages are always welcome.

To learn more about the Pony Express and the re-ride, please visit the Pony Express Association Website: https://nationalponyexpress.org/re-ride/current-reride/

The annual commemorative ride uses 700 horses and riders to travel along the old Pony Express route. It's so fun to see history come alive with events like this!

Today’s Pony Express event is canceled. Fall City Library is closed today. We will reschedule 🙂.

Call for Artists: Second Annual Art in Nature Walk

The Lee Arts Foundation (Carnation), Fall City Arts (Fall City), and North Bend Art & Industry (North Bend) are excited to announce the Second Free Annual Art in Nature Walk, a community-driven outdoor art exhibition for all ages along the scenic King County Snoqualmie Valley Trail (STV) from July 1st-August 31st.

After a successful inaugural exhibition in Carnation last year, this year’s project is expanding to include Fall City and North Bend, giving more local artists the opportunity to participate and more residents the chance to experience art in nature. Artists will create original artwork on provided wood rounds, which will be displayed along the trail and surrounding community spaces.

Local artists interested in participating can sign up through their city’s registration form:

“We are thrilled to expand the Art in Nature Walk to Fall City and North Bend this year,” said Simone Oliver, President of Lee Arts Foundation. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for local artists to let their creativity bloom while bringing the community together through art along our beloved Snoqualmie Valley Trail.”

Artists who sign up will receive a wood round to transform into an original piece, with installation and exhibition planned for summer along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. The project will include a virtual auction, with all proceeds going directly to the participating artists.

The exhibition provides a unique way for artists and community members to engage with public art while enjoying the valley’s natural landscapes. For more information about the Art in Nature Walk, contact:
