🏕️ Next Stop: Camp Parsons! 🌲

Fresh off the trail, our Scouts are trading mountains for the shores of Hood Canal. This week, they’ll be sharpening skills, earning badges, and making new memories at Camp Parsons.

From waterfront adventures to campfire nights, it’s going to be another week full of scouting spirit! 🌊🔥🪵

🌄 Philmont Trail Update 🏕️

It’s their last full day on the trail, and Troop 425 is already about halfway through the hike. Lots of sun exposure today, so they got an early start around 5 AM to beat the heat.

Scouts are pushing through strong and making the most of every mile! 🥾🔥⛰️

Troop 425 is having an amazing time. They’ve experienced beautiful views, countless laughs, big adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime. Proud of these Scouts for pushing themselves, looking out for each other, and truly living the Scout spirit.

Off they go! Scouts from Troop 425 are currently at Philmont Scout Ranch embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. Days on the trail, nights under the stars, and memories they’ll carry forever. Wishing them clear skies, strong legs, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Fall City! Recycle Your Christmas Tree & Support Local Scouts! 🎄

Do you want to dispose of your Christmas tree responsibly while helping a great cause? Local Scouts will be picking up Christmas trees as part of their annual fundraiser!

📅 When: Saturday, January 4th, 2025

⏰ Time: Place your tree outside by 8:00 AM for pickup (pickup happens from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM).

📍 Where: Leave your tree in your driveway (or near the street if you live in an alleyway). Or, drop it off at Gateway Park or North Bend City Hall.

💲 Suggested Donation: $20

How to Pay:

• Online Payment: Venmo or PayPal (details in the flyer)
• Personal Check: Payable to BSA Troop 1776 (attach to the tree).

🚫 Important Reminders:

• No tinsel, flocked trees, nails, or wreaths, please.
• No cash payments.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Troop 425 was honored to support the Memorial Day color guard at the Preston and Fall City cemeteries this morning.

A ton of fun was had and new skills were acquired at Lawless Forge in Seattle last night. What a great experience for our Troop 425 scouts!

Our winter Court of Honor was a success. Congratulations to the Boy Scout Troop 425 scouts for ranking up and/or earning merit badges. Our goal is for each scout to rank up this year. Keep up the hard work!

As we transition from summer to fall and winter, Scout Troop 425 doesn’t slow down. The days may get shorter, but this troop remains active all year. We are looking forward to several camping trips (both indoor and outdoor) over the upcoming months and are always welcoming of new scouts that would like to join us.

Boy Scout Troop 425 - Fall City got to put their backpacking skills to use on a weekend backpacking trip to Pete Lake and Spectacle Lake. On day 1, they started at the Pete Lake trailhead, hiked 4.5 miles to Pete Lake and set up camp for the night. On day 2, they packed up camp and hiked another 4.5 miles along the PCT to Spectacle Lake where they got to swim and camp among the most beautiful Washington views. It’s a weekend to remember, for sure. Many memories were made and outdoor skills were practiced.

Troop 425 got to spend the weekend at Camp Sheppard -BSA - Chief Seattle Council working on their their Trail to First Class rank requirements!

Older Scouts worked to earn the Paul Bunyan Award, a conservation and skill-based award for scouts who learn to perform woods tools work, while also doing service on trails or in other natural settings.

Upcoming events include rifle shooting, backpacking, rafting on the Wenatchee River, and overnight camping at Goldmyer Hot Springs. Interested in joining our troop? We’d be happy to help you sign up.
