Camp Good News NC

It costs approximately $10,000 a month at base cost to run the ministry here at Camp Good News. With the summer months of course being much higher. This month we have Fall Advance weekend for our teenagers which costs roughly $1,500 just in food and supplies. This would be a small cost of $25 per camper but we continue to be lead by the Lord to keep camp tuition free for all families.

The heart of the ministry is to help kids and teenagers grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We don't want money to be a hindrance to that. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a donor for Camp Good News? Whether one time or on a regular basis every little bit helps and is much appreciated.

If you would like to donate you can do so securely at https://campgoodnewsnc.org/donations/
or checks can be made to Camp Good News at PO Box 1872 Fairview, NC 28730

Thank you for praying about this and we ask for your prayers over all aspects of the ministry as well! Thank you again.

Live for Jesus,
Aaron Steinel
Camp Director

Hello Friends & Families!
PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ AND TO SHARE THIS!!

We had a great summer here at Camp Good News!!
Here’s a look at what God did this summer:
280 children attended camp.
230 returning campers.
10 professions of faith.
Many campers growing deeper in their walk with Jesus
65+ volunteers helped make it all happen
We are so thankful for everyone who prayed for us, supported the ministry, and gave their time to serve this summer. We truly could not do this without you!

Now we are heading into our fall season, and we need your continued prayers and support. Here’s what we have coming up:

-Discipleship Training — Starting October 3
Discipleship Training is for anyone 12 years old and up who wants to grow in their faith and for those who may be interested in becoming a future camp counselor. Trainings will be held on the first Saturday of each month from 12:00–3:00 PM here at camp. Our first training will be October 3.

-Fall Advance — October 16–18
Fall Advance is a weekend camp for ages 13–16! We are looking forward to a great weekend of fellowship, worship, games, and Bible teaching. This year, we will be studying through the book of 1 Peter!

-Vision & Fundraiser Night — November 14
We are tentatively planning a Vision & Fundraiser Night for the ministry here at Camp Good News, hosted at Fairview Baptist Church of Fairview NC. More information will be coming soon!
If you would, please begin praying about this night and how you might be able to be a part of it. God has given this ministry a great purpose and mission, and we want to share what He has placed on our hearts with you!

-After-School Program
Lastly, we are working to get our after-school program started back up! We are currently working with Fairview Elementary to get everything back on track. Please pray for this opportunity!

These are some of the things we are looking forward to this fall!

The heart of Camp Good News has always been, and will continue to be, providing free camp opportunities for children and families and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Of course, while camp is free to the families we serve, it still costs money to make these opportunities possible.
Would you prayerfully consider supporting Camp Good News?
Whether it is a one-time gift or a regular monthly donation, and no matter the amount, every gift makes a difference and is greatly appreciated!
Donations can be made online here:
https://campgoodnewsnc.org/donations/
Or checks can also be made payable to Camp Good News.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Thank you again for all of your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and support. We are so thankful for each of you!

We hope to see you soon!

In Christ,
Aaron Steinel
Camp Director
