Girls on the Run of Western North Carolina We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

What does she actually learn at Camp GOTR? 👀

Every day, she will:
🤝 Learn every teammate's name through games
💡 Try a new lesson, then put it into action
📓 Reflect in her journal over snack time
✏️ Express herself through storytelling, building, or arts and crafts
🎨 Make a craft of her own to bring home
💛 Give and receive a compliment that has nothing to do with looks

By Friday, she has built real confidence, real friendships, and a few things to show off at home. That is the whole point.

Rising 3rd-5th graders welcome. Financial aid available.

Fall registration is officially open! 💜
A new season is here, and there's a spot waiting for your girl.
Girls in 3rd through 5th grade can join Girls on the Run, and girls in 6th through 8th grade can join Heart & Sole. Both programs use games, running, and real conversations to help her build confidence, work through tough moments, and discover just how strong she really is.
No running experience needed, just a willingness to show up and have fun.

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day to honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice for Black communities across the country. It’s a time to reflect, celebrate the impact of Black Americans, and recognize the strength that comes from unity. At Girls on the Run, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity and support to reach her full potential. We’re dedicated to building spaces where joy, connection, and community can grow for girls from all backgrounds. As we honor this pivotal day in U.S. history, we recommit to a future that is inclusive and equitable.

One month until Camp GOTR! 🏕️💛

We know summer childcare is a real puzzle for a lot of families, and we want to make sure you know: Camp GOTR is a full day program. Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, for an entire week.

Your daughter gets a summer she will never forget. You get reliable, structured care from a team who genuinely loves what they do.

Girls entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade are welcome, and your daughter does not need any Girls on the Run experience to join us. Financial aid is available for every family.

📅 July 13-17
⏰ 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
📍 Christmount, Black Mountain NC
