Burning season is already upon us, so a couple of quick reminders…

If you intend to burn this year, consider utilizing the PBA’s resources. We’re here to help, whether it be writing burn plans, renting equipment, or lending a hand with the burn itself!

The Terry Peach Watershed Restoration Act was expanded last legislative session to include the Cimarron River Watershed. This means that all county residents are eligible for prescribed burning assistance through the Oklahoma Conservation Commission.

Send in your dues! Checks can be mailed to 722 Cedar Springs Rd., Fairview OK 73737.

Have a safe and productive burn season, and let us know how we can help you reach your prescribed burning goals!

What’s better than prescribed burning? Getting PAID to do it!

Part of the legislation included Terry Peach North Canadian Watershed Act is the Oklahoma Conservation Commission’s program to pay landowners who live within the watershed to prescribe burn as a way of offsetting the associated costs.

If you or someone you know is interested in up to $12 per acre payment to prescribe burn, please call 580-744-9154 to learn more or come to our Annual Meeting this Thursday at 6, located the Major County Conservation District seed building located at 723 N. Jefferson Rd. in Fairview.
