The Bowie Playground Build Team is working to create a new inclusive space for all types of families in and around Fairview TN. It was a meeting place for friends and families, a spot for birthdays and picnics and most importantly a place where memories were made. We, the next generation of Fairview Families, are now excited at the opportunity to c

reate the next generation of playground for Bowie Nature Park and Fairview, TN. We will take on this challenge with the same enthusiasm and drive as the original team and create a playground that will last the next 20+ years. We will come to together as a community to create a playground that we can all be proud of and make lasting friendships along the way!

We are beyond thrilled to see all the kids out there laughing, playing and enjoying our amazing new playground!!

Our dream really did come true.

Get out there and PLAY!!



The old playground was torn down a week after my twins turned 1. Yesterday they turned 4 and I can honestly say that it was worth the wait! Thank you to everyone who made this happen! I know it was a lot of meetings, a lot of money and a lot of hard work! The new playground is phenomenal!

With the new Treehouse Playground at Bowie Nature Park nearing completion, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to thank our donors who made it all possible.

These are the individuals, local businesses and large corporations who saw our vision for this playground and said YES to being a part of making it a reality.

We hope you will thank these folks when you see them and support these companies by giving them your business.

We would also like to thank every single person who purchased a Proud Supporter sign, T-Shirt, hat or just gave us a donation while we were out in the community. Your gift pushed us ever closer to the fundraising finish line!

We have not heard any word from the city on when the playground will "officially" open for play, but we hope it will be soon.

We have been told there will be a grand opening later after the fence and the donor recognition structure is in place.
Hopefully those will happen over the next couple of months.

We wish you all a very Happy Fourth of July and we THANK YOU again for all the love and support you show for this community.

Sharing the update and pictures below from a post in Fairview Involved.

While we are sad the playground will not open this weekend, we are beyond thankful that the equipment is installed and we hope that it will be ready soon.

Bowie Nature Park New Treehouse Playground update.

The Soft Opening will not be held tomorrow morning due to the fact that, 1 not all of the mulch has been installed and 2: The mulch has not been leveled up to the poured in place rubber surface because that crew is still on-site finishing the rubber installation.

The excitement and joy of her sons over this playground is the heart behind this playground project!
THIS makes it worth every hour, day, week and month we spent planning, meeting and raising funds for this playground.
We are so close to being able to PLAY!!

The Great Southern crew is working so hard to get this install complete by Friday!
We hope to get an update on Friday as to the status of the playground opening and if it will be safe to use.
We are hoping we can all celebrate together and start playing on Saturday, July 2.
