The mission of Fresnel Shores Foundation is to establish, foster, and conduct initiatives that support the procreative potential of the human person and healthy nuclear families. Many communities across the country have no medical practice that has comprehensive reproductive healthcare supporting the natural function of the body while also providing services in accord with the Ethical and Religiou
s Directives (ERDs) of the Catholic Church. This systemic deficiency is not limited to northeast Ohio; it is a nationwide deficit. New knowledge in the science of female fertility cycle has developed rapidly, especially regarding the intricacy and necessity of the feminine fertility cycle. However, clinical provision of services utilizing this knowledge has not been incorporated on a broad scale into women’s care. Fresnel Shores was founded to make better women’s care the prevalent care. Fresnel Shores Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, funding initiatives that support the procreative potential of the human person, as well as the dignity of each person through holistic models of healthcare. It is our goal to advance initiatives that empower women and families through right care and knowledge of their fertility. Our vision for this project is broad. To accomplish our vision, our mission includes facilitating the establishment of healthcare facilities that provide care in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. To accomplish this, Fresnel Shores is developing Veranova Health, the first such medical practice being created from the ground up as a replicable model. To facilitate its mission, Fresnel Shores communicates the need for such clinics to communities and potential donors and solicits needed resources to achieve these objectives. In addition to assisting medical clinic startups, Fresnel Shores Foundation supports education in restorative reproductive medicine for medical professionals, as well as teacher education in fertility awareness programs. For example, an early and continuing initiative of Fresnel Shores Foundation was establishing Northeast Ohio Natural Family Planning, an organization promoting natural family planning through its website, social media presence, and in-person meetings organized through www.meetup.com/NEO-NFP/.
