Congratulations to our August Showcase Garden Award winners!

As August arrives, gardens begin to wind down from the summer season—but our winners show that they can still shine!

August's theme was Hot Summer Heroes—celebrating gardens that thrive despite heat and dry conditions, showcasing resilience, thoughtful plant choices, and beautiful summer color.

Thank you to all of the homeowners who help make our community more beautiful. Take a look at this month's four beautiful winning gardens!

22300 MacBeth - This garden is full of bright full blooms with Hibiscus in the backdrop, and a variety of annuals and perennials framing the front beds. It's nice to see such vibrant color this time of year!
4546 Orchard - This garden has thoughtful plant choices that survive the summer heat - including heat-tolerant grasses and perennials, which create a beautiful, resilient garden that continues to flourish when summer is at its toughest.
4275. W 196th Street -- This garden shows how thoughtful plant choices can keep a landscape looking vibrant through the heat of summer. The combination of hardy shrubs, colorful annuals, and established perennials creates a beautiful, resilient garden that stands strong even during hot and dry August days.
4080 Diane Dr. - This garden demonstrates the beauty and resilience of a well-established landscape during the heat of summer. With hardy shrubs, perennials, and colorful containers working together, it remains lush and vibrant while showing that smart plant choices can thrive through August’s challenging conditions.

Congratulations to our July Showcase Garden Award winners!

July's theme was Color & Curb Appeal—celebrating gardens that make a strong visual impact and create a beautiful first impression through thoughtful design, vibrant color, and outstanding curb appeal. Take a look at this month's beautiful winning gardens!

21360 Robinhood:
This landscape creates exceptional curb appeal through bold sweeps of colorful perennials, layered textures, and thoughtfully placed focal points that draw the eye from the street to the front entrance. Thank You, Fairview Park!

On Tuesday, our community truly came together to make our flower bouquet project for the residents of O'Neill Healthcare a wonderful success!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated flowers from your gardens, purchased flowers, volunteered their time, and joined us for an evening of creating beautiful bouquets. Your generosity, kindness, and community spirit brought smiles to so many residents.
A very special thank you goes to Lake Road Market in Rocky River for their incredible support. They generously helped us source flowers and also donated beautiful blooms to our project. Their kindness played an important role in making this event such a success.
Together, we shared more than flowers—we shared joy, compassion, and the reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Just One Week Away!

In one week, the Fairview Park Garden Club will be creating beautiful bouquets for the residents of O'Neill Healthcare, and we'd love your help!

If you have flowers blooming in your garden, please consider donating them. Fresh flowers with long stems and greenery make all the difference. Donations can be dropped off in the water-filled buckets by 4:00 PM on Monday, July 13 at:

21452 Eaton Road, or
4054 West 220th St.

Then join us for a fun evening of arranging bouquets on Tuesday, July 14, at 4:30 PM in the Dunson Room at Fairview Park City Hall. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet Garden Club members, enjoy a creative evening, and help brighten the day of O'Neill residents.

Help Us Spread Joy with Flowers!
The Fairview Park Garden Club invites our residents to participate in a special community service project—creating beautiful flower bouquets for the residents of O’Neill Healthcare.
We need flowers from your gardens (or purchased flowers) to help make this possible! Fresh flowers with long stems work best so we can trim and arrange them. We also need greenery and filler such as lily-of-the-valley leaves, small hosta leaves, iris leaves, small evergreen branches, or boxwood clippings. Please avoid anything with sharp edges, such as holly.

To donate flowers, please drop them off in the available water-filled buckets by 4:00 PM on Monday, July 13 at either of these locations:

4054 West 220th St.

Then, we invite residents to join us for a fun evening of bouquet-making at City Hall at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, July 14! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Garden Club members, enjoy a creative evening, and help brighten someone’s day.
Whether you donate flowers, arrange bouquets, or simply come to lend a hand, your participation will make a difference.

The Fairview Park Garden Club is pleased to announce our June Showcase Garden Award winners!

20971 Eaton Boulevard – Fairview Park�This inviting garden is a haven for pollinators, filled with a beautiful variety of plants. The yard features several hostas, some already in bloom, along with sedum, purple salvia, begonias, and lady’s mantle. Together, these plantings create a colorful and welcoming landscape that supports bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

4587 Concord Drive – Fairview Park�When the current homeowners moved in, they were told not to attempt planting a garden. Determined to prove their neighbors wrong, they transformed the yard into a vibrant and flourishing display. Their garden now features colorful lilies, clematis, an old climbing rose bush, snapdragons, and profusion roses. Earlier this spring, their peonies were also in spectacular bloom.

Congratulations to our June Showcase Garden winners, and thank you for helping make Fairview Park a more beautiful place to live!

From May 1 through June 25, simply show this flyer (or mention the Fairview Park Garden Club) when you check out at Dean's Garden Center, and Dean's will donate 20% of your purchase back to our club.
Your support helps us continue our community beautification projects throughout Fairview Park. Thank you for helping our gardens—and our community—bloom!
