FPEA President, Laura Ponsart and VP, Chrissy Karliak had the opportunity to meet with NEA President-Elect Princess Moss this afternoon as a part of her “Back to School” tour. She was warm and responsive, reminding them that NEA is there for our local!

Unfortunately talks did not go as planned last night… please continue to support FPEA by displaying our yard signs, attending monthly BOE meetings (tonight at 6:30pm in the high school Warrior Room), or emailing Board of Education members expressing your concern over the lack of progress. The FPEA Bargaining team returned to the negotiating table this afternoon, welcomed by a line of educators clapping and offering their encouragement and support.

Megan Frenz, the Co-Lead on the Member Action Team, spoke with WOIO Channel 19 News following the clap-in to provide an update on our progress.

FPEA welcomed back Fairview educators this morning with some small treat bags, a wonderful speech from our President Laura Ponsart, and a speech from Ohio Education Association (OEA) President Jeff Wensing remind us that when we stand together we can accomplish great things.

FPEA sign deliveries are still in full force! Thank you to everyone who has been proudly displaying one of our 370 signs across Fairview. Please continue to display the signs as we’re still working toward a contract. If you would like our team to drop one off please message us with your address and we’ll get it to you asap.

It was great seeing everyone at Summerfest over the weekend! Thanks to all who stopped to play trivia with us, took some of our FPEA swag, and took one of our Heart and Backbone signs. Our team is out today dropping off signs if you requested one be delivered. We still have some left, if you would like one dropped off please message us with your address and we’ll get it to you as soon as possible. Thank you Fairview for all your support.
