Perinton Food Shelf

Perinton Food Shelf The Perinton Food Shelf is a non profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers. In addition, the Food Shelf receives monetary donations.

Food supplies are donated to the Food Shelf by collections from churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals. The monetary donations are used to purchase fresh meat, milk, eggs and margarine for the families in need. Aldi generously donates to the Perinton Food Shelf. We find ourselves from time to time with empty shelves, particularly during the months of May through October. So keep th

e food donations coming year round for both non-perishable food as well as money to purchase bread, milk, eggs and meat. For non-perishable food donations, our “Most Needed Items” list is updated on our website as the needs will change. Please keep the list in mind as you shop at the grocery store. Items we do not accept:
perishable food, frozen food, pet food, baby food, feminine hygiene products and diapers

Prior to doing a food drive, please contact the Food Shelf. Please consider holding your food drive in the spring or summer when we still have a need, but fewer food drives. The food pantry is volunteer operated and appointments must be made to drop off large food drives, smaller ones can be delivered directly to the Perinton Town Hall.

Huge thanks to The Mayeu Financial Group - Northwestern Mutual 💙

We are incredibly grateful for their generous support of the Perinton Food Shelf. Their $1,000 sponsorship made the Fairport Empty Bowls event possible—and then, in a wonderful surprise at the event, they announced an additional, extremely generous $5,000 donation!

Their commitment to our community helps ensure that our neighbors have access to the resources they need. Partnerships like this are what make our community so strong.

Please join us in thanking them for their kindness and investment in Fairport and Perinton!

We would like to thank everyone who helps us out in so many ways. We still have many needs. Remember that jumbo sizes do not fit well in our boxes and please no expired or opened food. We need:
boxes of pudding and jello, brownie mix, baking mixes, tomato products (not spaghetti sauce or diced tomatoes), mayonnaise, salad dressings, frosting, cookies, crackers, cans of chili, beef stew, sugar (1-2 lbs) baked beans, paper towels, tissues, laundry soap, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste and toothpaste.

You can drop off donations at the Perinton Community Center, Fairport Public Library, and numerous churches.
