WHAT WE DO

KITTY ANGELS is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose focus is educating the public about feral cats, clearing up the misconceptions about them, and promoting their management in order to improve and save their lives. We care for 100+ homeless cats daily which include those at feral cat colonies and ones who have been removed and placed into alternative living arrangements due to medi

cal issues, disabilities, or safety issues. We also provide adoption services to strays, kittens, and friendly ferals.

Tigger is helping Cia's spirits with comforting love. Cia is very sick with kidney disease and is being kept mostly in a quiet room but she loves her family, so we allow her to be with them some. We thought we were going to lose her last night, but we administered Subq Fluids, have been syringe feeding her Hydracare as well as prescription kidney food today about every 1 1/2 - 2 hours, and have given Aluminum Hydroxide, PetTinic, Cerenia, Miritaz, and a B12 shot.

Cia has improved a bit but she certainly is not out of the woods. We will continue aggressive care making sure that she does not suffer. Cia is one of 14 cats who have had various serious medical issues within the last 8 months. Up until this point , they have been manageable. Please be in prayer for Cia.

Kitty Angels, Inc. provides care to over 100 feral, abandoned, and stray cats daily. Medical care is our biggest challenge with so many. If you wish to contribute to these huge expenses currently above $9,000, you may send a check to:

Obituary

Snow Ghost Denkovich
12/6/18 - 8/21/26

SNOW GHOST: AS SHE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR, SHE WONDERED IF SHE'D EVER MATTER TO ANYONE.

Snow Ghost Denkovich passed away in her sleep on August 21, 2026 from a very brief illness. She was just 8 years old.

Snow Ghost lived with her adoptive parents, Candy Denkovich and Louis Denkovich of Hagerstown, MD, as well as her 3 best buddies, Gray, Yellow, and Mystery, all Leukemia cats. Adopted and taken in at less than 1 year old, she would come to know a life that many Leukemia cats do not know. Living in a beautiful secluded indoor home with an amazing outdoor catio built by her Dad, she enjoyed outdoor life watching birds, insects, and wildlife, feeling the warmth of the sunshine on her body. Snow Ghost enjoyed daily fresh catnip, grass, and tree clippings just as an outdoor cat would within the safety of her home. She and her friends also enjoyed listening to country music radio.

Though Snow Ghost was a shy feral cat, she was treated with the same value and worth as a friendly pet cat, lounging in soft, luxurious beds, and eating the most delicious of gourmet foods. Named Snow for her beautiful white fur and Ghost for vanishing many times when we were near, the depth of our joy was received in knowing that she had received the happy, fulfilling life she deserved.

Snow Ghosts' life was far from her beginnings where she was living at a prison in which she and all of her family and friends were trapped by Kitty Angels upon threat to their safety. She was an innocent victim of an abandoned Mom with no spay and no medical care. Her daily life was a struggle with no consistent food or water, good protection from the elements, and threats from prison employees.

Snow Ghost knew from a safe distance that we cared for her. It wasn't until the day before her passing that she allowed human touch. Displaying sickness, and allowing care including treatment for general illness, Snow Ghost felt the love of human touch, petting, and kissing. Though just 1 day, she still experienced gentle kindness and passed from this world knowing that.

In honor and memory of Snow Ghost, please know that Leukemia is not a death sentence to cats. Proper care, nutritious food, limiting stress, and segregation with other Leukemia cats or those with vaccines allows these cats to live full lives. Snow Ghost experienced a very happy life for 8 years. Remember, cats with Leukemia deserve the same opportunity to live.

Snow Ghost, your life mattered so much to us. Your beauty was far from outward. We will forever cherish and love you. You are missed beyond words 💜

WHAT WE LEARN BY CARING FOR THE SICKLIEST OF CATS...

Patience and Quiet Presence, Deep Empathy, Living in the Now, Resilience, and Selfless Service. We especially learn that the smallest act of kindness means the most to those that had nothing and no one.

Wicked is one of Kitty Angels, Inc. sickliest cats. He went from well to his eye rupturing and his tongue being uncontrollable, therefore, unable to eat on his own in just a few days. His medical expenses have reached $3,327.64. Wicked, who was feral until this sickness came upon him, is a dear, sweet boy who needs our help. Can you help this innocent one to regain his life?

Wicked, a Feral Cat residing with Kitty Angels Inc., exhibits extraordinary spirit despite his standoffish nature, standing out with his unique physical characteristics. This polydactyl cat has 6 toes on his front paws and 4 on the rear, demonstrating the wonders of genetic variation. His feet appear very large because of this. Kittens gifted with extra toes typically have 1 to 2 additional digits, but the Guinness World Record holder for most toes on a cat boasts an impressive 28 toes, showcasing the remarkable diversity of feline anatomy.

With so many cats under our care, we always have something on our wish list. Something that keeps the cats entertained by allowing them to climb is a cat tree. Look at this gently used cat tree purchased for $25 on Facebook Marketplace 💚
