These colorful musical metal flowers, known as Musical Free Notes, are a unique community project made possible through the creativity and teamwork of Fairmont’s P.E.O. Chapter AM and the Fairmont Community Club.

They’re a fun reminder that some of the best things in a community happen when people come together, share an idea and pitch in to make it happen.

The Fairmont Legacy Foundation Fund (FLFF) is committed to driving progress and building long-term prosperity in our community. Guided by a dedicated volunteer Fund Advisory Committee, FLFF actively promotes charitable giving and distributes grants to support meaningful local projects that address current needs and future opportunities.

The Fairmont Legacy Foundation Fund (FLFF) is building a long-term community investment that keeps giving back. The principal is invested, and each year, the earnings can be used to support projects and programs that benefit Fairmont.

And we’re already seeing that investment at work!

In 2026, 𝐅𝐋𝐅𝐅 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 help support Fairmont’s new mural. In 2025, public swim lessons were paid for by FLFF.

With continued community support, FLFF looks forward to funding additional projects that help build a brighter future for Fairmont.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the Fairmont Senior Center, now known as The Golden Spoon!

We’re fortunate to have this wonderful resource in our community. The Golden Spoon serves homemade meals five days a week, provides a place to gather over coffee, offers a great rental space, and—perhaps most importantly—helps connect people throughout our community.

It’s more than a place to eat. It’s a place to gather, connect and build community.
