This citizen led Cultivate Mini Grant project added two new Free Little Libraries to the community. Not only is this a wonderful resource for sharing free books with the community, but these Free Little Libraries also provide a bench to rest and a dog waste dispenser! Enjoy these Free Little Libraries located near the campuses of West Fairmont Middle School and Fairmont Senior High School.

Emerge WV is an art center in Marion County where children and adults can come to learn both creative and life skills, play boards games, and add to the art community. With a Cultivate Mini Grant, Emerge WV was able to offer MAC Therapy- free classes, including 8 ocarina lessons on 3D printed ocarinas, a handmade watercolor class, and a two-day Procreate masterclass.

Thanks to the Marion County QRT, Marion County WV Health Department, and Marion County Communities of Shalom for placing two Naloxone resource boxes in our community. One will be permantly located at the Marion County Rescue Squad, 400 Virginia Ave, and the other will travel throughtout the community as needed. The resource boxes will contain Naloxone, also known as Narcan- a life saving drug designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses, test strips, and first aid kits. The boxes will be maintianed by the QRT and Health Deptartment. Other community partners will stock the boxes with resource information.
