🏠 BIG NEWS: We’re moving!

Tygart Valley United Way is beginning an exciting new chapter with a new home, a new community hub and a realignment that will create even more opportunities to serve our community.

But this is about much more than a new building.

Thanks to incredible partnerships with WesBanco, WVU Medicine, and Friendship Fairmont, this move will create new space for collaboration, strengthen the work of multiple organizations and ensure that community resources are working together to make the greatest possible impact.

It’s a big step forward for United Way and an even bigger investment in the future of our community. 💙

⚠️ Flood assistance remains available for Upshur County households.

Applications for Lewis County are now closed, but a limited number of $1,000 assistance grants remain for Upshur County residents affected by the July 21 flooding.

If your household experienced flood related losses and you have not yet applied, please submit your application as soon as possible. Grants are available while funding remains.

🇺🇸 We were honored to welcome Senator Shelley Moore Capito to our WV 211 office at the United Way of Central WV today!

Senator Capito spent time visiting with our team and learning more about how WV 211 connects West Virginians in all 55 counties to critical resources and support, both every day and during times of disaster.

“It was encouraging to see the great work being done here at West Virginia 211 today. Following the recent flooding across West Virginia, having teams like this in place to provide direct support and resources to our communities is vital. I am proud of the work being done here and deeply appreciative of United Way’s efforts to support our state at all times,” Senator Capito said.

Milan Puskar Health Right is introducing a fee for mental health services to those who might otherwise be outside of our range of eligibility. Though spots are limited, we want to help those who fall in the gap between having coverage and not being able to afford it. So, if you or someone you know is uninsured and over 250% of the Federal Poverty Level, come down to MPHR and see us!
