NAPS: Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors. A NAPS food box is provided once a month to eligible seniors age 60 plus. This is a government funded program facilitated by Heaven’s Table Food Shelf. Application forms available at our site. You will then be contacted by Second Harvest as to eligibility and when you can begin picking up the food box. NAP boxes are distributed on the 2nd Thursday of each month from our Fairmont location (12:30-2:00).

Back Pack Program: Nutritious snacks and meals for use during weekends are sent home on Fridays during the school year to eligible students in grades K-6 at participating Martin County Schools. Bags are assembled at HTFS and then picked up by the schools. Donations and grants provide funds for these food items.

Volunteers: All of our workers including Board members are volunteers. HTFS needs volunteers to help with any of the following: distributions (3 days a week), unloading the food truck from Second Harvest (twice a month), helping with NAPS distribution (once a month), helping with the Back Pack program (once a week during school year), picking up rescue food from HyVee and Kwik Trip (3 times a week), restocking shelves, and cleaning. We are thankful to all those who do volunteer to help. Contact us if you would like to volunteer. Volunteers at distributions must be 13 or older.

Purpose: To provide and distribute food to those in need to provide fresh, locally grown food when available, to serve all communities to provide assistance that helps people improve their situation, to receive donations for meeting the needs of the hungry, and to serve clients with respect and dignity.
