Robes for Recovery arose from a community service project initiated by the employees of Fairmont Federal Credit Union in 2013 and was approved as an unincorporated nonprofit association in December 2014. Robes for Recovery was designated in 2015 as a tax-exempt, charitable organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) for the purpose of producing and donating customized radiation robes to breast cancer patients at local hospitals. All tax deductible contributions received from individuals, businesses and other organizations will be used only for the production and distribution of robes and for the promotion of its cause.

For more than 13 years, Robes for Recovery has provided handmade dignity robes to local breast cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment, helping them feel more comfortable and covered during treatment. Thanks to dedicated volunteers, more than 2,000 robes have been donated throughout our community. Now, we need your help!

We’re looking for experienced volunteer seamstresses to join our mission. We provide the fabric, pattern, Velcro, and patch. Volunteers simply provide the thread and talent!
