Can anyone recommend someone to do the nonprofit's taxes (preferably for free or cheap)? We don't have anything going out or in really so it should be simple - I just want to make sure we do it right.....

I will be speaking at a marriage conference in Morgantown on behalf of Hope for Healing: Silent No More this weekend. The topic: Disgrace Grace - Healing Through Faith after Sexual Abuse. Greg will be joining me and we will be answering questions about how coming forward with my abuse as an adult affected our marriage, but more importantly how God pulled us through as a couple. G3!

Just received a call from the Preston County Board of Education - they have asked me to make a presentation to their counselors next week on how Hope for Healing: Sient No More can help their students. God is working things quickly now!!! :)

The WV Children's Justice Taskforce Crimes Against Children Conference went GREAT! I've already received a phone call from a Department of Health and Human Services (DHHR) case worker asking me to speak to a victim in Mt. Hope WV. The ball is rolling for us now! G3 all the way!!!

A lot of people (myself included) are outraged by the Penn State/Coach Sandusky sexual abuse incidents that have recently come to light. Take a look at the Grad Jury Report (I've posted the link below)- the situation is MUCH worst than the news is reporting. 5 years ago today I broke the silence the surrounded my sexual abuse. I have resolved to use my experience to help others, so today my family and I will celebrate as we continue to move forward and give God all the glory that He so rightly deserves!

Alright folks, so those of you who helped us put together the 800 treat bags back in May (many thanks once again) will be pleased to know that God has given us a plan on what to do with the remaining 600 to 700 bags (they will NOT go to waste). We want to hand them out during trick or treating (since they're already full of candy and toys). This will be an AWESOME opportunity to get our business cards in the hands of kids who might need them. So, if you would like to take part in this, just let me know how many you may need and I will make arrangements to get them to you. Ultimately, we would like to get them spread throughout Taylor, Marion, Harrison, and Mon counties.

I am super excited to annouce that we have received official notification regarding our tax exempt status. We are "officially" a tax exempt public charity! :) I am now requesting prayers as Greg and I continue to work on the business plan. It is our hope that we can do as God leads and finish it up so we can start making a real impact in the community. Thanks and have a great weekend everyone!

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I wanted to send a quick update. We've finally submitted our application for our tax exempt status and should know soon if it's been accepted. Greg and I are still working on the business plan, and then we will begin to recruit officers and board members. I hope everyone had a great summer and is looking forward to fall!

We are in need of a laptop. Any of your techy people have any recommendations as to what we should get? Something that's not too pricey and also practical for business purposes??? Please advise. :)
