If you enjoy a good Root Beer, please support a Minnesota based company that also supports the DAV Minnesota. Our DAV outdoor program is one of the best. We take people out that are sometimes at the lowest point of their life and show them that they can still function and do things. It has changed many lives. So, enjoy a good Root Beer and also help change someone's life.

Finally, I was able to paste this picture to share. Didn't take much discussion to get one of our hardheaded Marine members to agree to use his pickup for the pace car at the races. There's a long-understood rumor about Marines and their crayons and Skittles. Before the races I gave the promoter a 4 pack of crayons to give the Marine to keep him focused (haha). Once a Marine always a Marine is true and our DAV member Terry holds true to that. Thank you, Terry, for doing that. We love you, Brother. Nice job.

Last night we had a table setup at the Fairmont racetrack for veterans' night. Met a lot of great people, had some good questions. Also, some people that I will work at helping them with a claim. This is what the DAV does for veterans, we help them get through their day. Navigating the VA world can be very frustrating and confusing. We had our own member "Terry" drive his pickup around as the pace car. The old Marine did a fine job, and I made sure he had his crayons. Thanks Terry and everyone that showed up.
Thank you to the people at the racetrack, Zac's trailers and the help for showing honor to us, the DAV and the local veterans.

June 12th, we honor the women who served in the military. The DAV of MN honored them today by giving out cookies at all the VA hospitals and clinics. The DAV will also have a table set-up at the Fairmont racetrack tonight for veterans to ask questions and see what the DAV MN does for veterans. Maybe we'll have a cookie for you. We're also giving away a few free tickets to veterans. See ya tonight. May God Bless you on your special day...

Today we recognize it as American Indian Citizenship Day. Many of them fought hard for this Country and our freedom.

This is so true. I fought for 12 years. If one fails you, try a different one. There's some good ones and some bad ones. Just don't give up, keep fighting...

For many veterans, the first step in seeking benefits is also the hardest. It means asking for help after years of carrying the weight alone. And often, the first person they meet on that journey is a DAV chapter or department service officer. That moment matters.
