Girl Scouts Troop 2974 is a multi-tiered troop originally out of the Pen Ryn School, in Fairless Hills, PA. We are a very active troop of kindergarten thru 12th grade girls who enjoy activities, community service, and global adventures.

Yesterday was our last Pen Ryn meeting of the school year. We made a special delivery to the teachers to drop off our cookie donations. Then off to enjoy a little ice cream party! The girls loved their special treats, stickers, tattoos and a few take home toys. The weather was also perfect for some time outside with gaga, jump rope and sunshine with our friends.

Pen Ryn Meeting 4/17. We worked on knot tying skills! June, one of our Juniors working to start her Bronze Award, led a bracelet making activity using knotting. She remained calm with all the younger girls asking lots of questions and needing a helping hand. Great job displaying your leadership and sharing this. project.

We also work on several knot types with rope cords and discussed when different knots might be useful. Some of the girls also completed a fleece knot tie blanket for donation to the Linus Project.

We ended the meeting with the human knot. We tried this as a team building activity at the beginning of the year and it ended with frustration and even some tears back in the fall. Fast forward....these girls did not give up! The communicated. They listened to one another. And they made their way out of the human knot!! It was a proud moment of growth and teamwork for all the girls.
