Approximately 9 percent of Bucks County residents are food insecure, including about 16 percent of children. One of the goals of Bucks Knocks Out Hunger is to make sure that no child in goes hungry! The Exelon STEM Innovation + Leadership Academy introduces young women to STEM opportunities and increases the chance they pursue STEM-related careers.

This program strives to empower women in STEM leadership roles and help foster a pipeline of young female talent.

Young women currently in grades 10 or 11 are invited to apply at www.exelonstemacademy.org. 👨‍🚀👩‍🔬👩‍🏫👩‍🎓

For the fifth year, we're working to fulfill that mission and have teamed up to help support the United Way of Bucks County’s Holiday Gift Card Drive that helps older kids and teens who are often left behind during the season.

Giving Tuesday 11/27 - Shop to support United Way of Bucks County's Holiday Gift Card Drive. Proceeds from this event provide gift cards to older children who have aged out of traditional toy drives and might otherwise be forgotten during the holiday season. To support this event you can present the Bookfair ID # 12443727 at any B&N Book Store or shop online until 12/2.

Autumn Harvest

We had a beautiful Saturday morning with an awesome group of volunteers. Our volunteers helped pick fresh greens that will be distributed this week at Fresh Connect and also helped plant garlic for next season. Thank you to everyone who spent the morning with us! Special thank you to Harvest Food Rescue for helping us put this volunteer event together and Carversville Farm Foundation for hosting!
