We are back in high fire danger please make sure you talk to the forest warden before burning and remember that is know the fire chief with the new laws that went into effect July 1.

Looking like tomorrow evening could bring some interesting weather to Vermont. Please keep a look out.

An Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe weather is forecast for Tuesday evening, continuing after dark into the overnight hours. All severe hazards are possible, especially damaging winds. If you plan to be outdoors ensure you have way to receive alerts & have a plan for shelter.

A little awareness today. If you see a down tree on the lines stay away. This tree took out all power last night on Lake Morey Rd but never tripped the circuit. Meaning there was live power feeding into the ground. Not the first time I have seen this. Please stay back and call 911. Never assume the power is out.

Independence Day is just around the corner. Come spend the day in Fairlee watch the parade and come enjoy a meal from the fire department. Then enjoy the fireworks from the golf course at dusk.

Fairlee Fire was toned at 5:24 pm to a 3rd alarm Barn/house fire in Thetford. E6 responded and set up water supply off Rt 244 and T3 responding hauling water to the fire.all trucks were back in town at 8:40 pm. Would also than Wentworth Fire for doing zone coverage.

Last night we joined Bradford Fire and all the first alarm departments to do a mock training for a fire at Margaret Pratt living facility. It’s nice to work with your surroundings departments and get that bond and be able to count on them.
