🍁 Maple Syrup Season in Vermont 🍁
From tree to table, it’s pure magic.
Sap is tapped from sugar maples, collected, then boiled down (about 40 gallons of sap = 1 gallon of syrup!) until it becomes that rich, golden sweetness we love.
The season runs late Feb through March, when cold nights and warm days get the sap flowing.
Nature really knows what it’s doing!

Announcing this year's ICE-OUT contest for Lake Morey, sponsored by the Lake Morey Protective Association!

You can pick any date even if someone else picked that day, and all the people who correctly pick the right day (as officially reported to the State of Vermont by our lake monitor) will receive a small jar of local Fairlee Maple Syrup!

You do not have to live in Fairlee to enter, and if you are a seasonal resident, you can pick up your syrup at a later date when you're here.

Here are the past few years' of dates starting in 2015:
20 April, 17 March, 12 April, 24 April, 17 April, 2 April, 6 April and 7 April, 10 April, 15 March, and last year was 4 April.

The deadline to guess is Saturday March 14 at midnight.

So, just put your guess in the comments, and good luck everyone! 🍀🍁
