This Wildlife Wednesday, we're highlighting one of nature's most unique animals—the platypus! With its duck-like bill, webbed feet, and beaver-like tail, the platypus is truly one of a kind.

Did you know? Platypuses are one of the few mammals that lay eggs, and they spend much of their time in the water hunting for food!

Thank you, donors!

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to donate at our blood drives. Your generosity truly saves lives, and we’re proud to be part of that impact.

You’ll have another opportunity to donate one month from today! If you gave blood at our May drive, you’ll be eligible to donate again on July 9.

We appreciate your continued support! ❤️

Did you know that some wildlife can carry rabies without showing obvious signs of illness? Animals such as raccoons, foxes, bats, and skunks are considered rabies vector species and can transmit the virus to people and pets through bites or scratches.

Not all wildlife carries rabies. Some animals can become infected but rarely spread it, while others—such as opossums, reptiles, amphibians, and birds—are generally not susceptible to the virus.

If you are bitten or scratched by a wild animal, especially a rabies vector species, seek medical attention immediately and report the incident to local authorities.
