This month, the Drop-In Homes focused on gardening as the featured Life Skills lesson. During the lesson, the ladies learned about how plants in a garden symbolize transformation for each of them personally.

The lesson on gardening taught the ladies about the beauty of transformation and how the process of growth can take time, starting out as a tiny budding to being fully blossomed and rooted in Christ. Just as a garden flourishes through faithful care, the Lord continues to lovingly grow and transform every one of His daughters that are rooted in Him.

Youth at RAHAB are having the joys of childhood restored to them through our Minor Mentoring Program. Part of the mentorship experience is taking the youth on excursions and outings with their mentor. These outings play a vital role for the mentees showing them what healthy relationship building can look like, restoring fun back into their lives, and developing social skills.

Life skills are an essential part of the RAHAB Drop-In Home Program, equipping women with practical tools that build confidence and independence. This month, our life skills focus was sewing.

Thanks to one of our incredibly kind and generous donors, the ladies enjoyed a hands-on day of learning basic sewing skills. From threading a needle to repairing clothing, they gained knowledge that many had never had the opportunity to learn before. This day at the Drop-In Home gave the women a sense of empowerment!
