At the heart of sports ministry at Grace church is a simple phrase, “greater than a game.” We strongly believe the lessons we learn through sports are reflective of those we learn in life. Dealing with disappointment, handling success, working together, managing pressure, decision making, maximizing opportunities, preparation, taking responsibility, overcoming adversity, and strengthening weakness
es are just a few of the life lesson examples we encounter through sports. As a result, we want to not only sharpen an athlete’s game, but also their life. One defining way we do this is through a simple, straightforward question that each athlete is challenged with:
WHAT IS YOUR ENDGAME? How do you define success? What is your ultimate purpose? The journey of discovering that answer carries us well beyond our athletic careers, and into the heart of the Bible. As we grow together athletically, relationally, and more importantly, spiritually, answering that question can become a reality. We are always looking to connect with sports minded and gifted people in order to expand our roll in God’s kingdom. Whether it’s finding our next connect group, sports league, or meaningful relationship we believe God is guiding our ministry beyond sports, to impact lives for a greater cause, greater than a game.
